Sales Tax. We are an established seller in the state of California and hold a reseller's permit in this state. According to CA Dept. of Tax and Fee Administration, a California seller's permit holder is responsible for collecting sales tax for sales delivered in California Sales tax applies to when and where the delivery of sales took place. When and where payment is made is not relevant. In transactions where shipping address is within the states of California, we must collect the statewide tax rate. If the delivery address is within the city of Santa Ana, we also collect Santa Ana district sales tax. We do not collect district sales tax for any other cities we are not considered engaged in business in the district where product is being sent by common carrier. The buyer must pay the difference in the form of district ‘use' tax to the tax authority.
