Tips on saving water:

Dispense 1 gallon of water at a time instead of 1 cup at a time. Use a gallon pitcher to pour water into my cup instead of using the dispensing faucet. When you only get 1 cup of water, the system turns on, then it takes a long time to make the tank full again. This is because the back pressure from the tank is pushing against the purified water, so the pressure across the membrane is small, thus the system makes water much slower than when the tank is empty or half empty.

Another way to save water is to use a Permeate pump or a booster pump to increase production rate.
